COMMANDERS
[One thing to keep in mind with ALL your commanders is that all their stats effect your total stats so getting them and leveling them is to your advantage even if you don't play them in weirwood or training ground.]
Your Commanders are another very important aspect of your game. Commanders are used in Weirwood, Training Grounds, Rebel Camps, Rebel Leaders, Rebel Groups and player vs player battle both in defense and attacking situations. In other words almost everywhere. Since Commanders are such a deep subject this section of the site will be broken up into multiple parts.
Note: Do not send your commanders when gathering, and NEVER send your Head Commander, they should always be in your shelter with at least one troop, unless needed for attacks on rebels, but then put back, make this a habit and you won't get your Head Commander taken.
You get a set of 6 commanders by the time you have finished your Weirwood tutorial. Chris, Soren, Sheila, Arslan, Sansa Stark and Robb Stark. You will receive Varys for logging in the second time.
When you first start you will also be presented with the Arya quest relatively early on. This is a 7 day quest that gives you actions to complete to get points. At certain numbers of points you are given a chest to open. Getting 100 points will award you with enough medals to take Arya to blue quality. This quest is pretty easy to complete even for free to play players, and I suggest you make every effort to do this!
Lord's, your account level, directly affects the current commander level cap. If you go up one level they will be able to go up one level. Completing campaign quests, Weirwood Tree Trails, Expedition, Rally Battle and Secondary Quests will allow you to receive Lord Exp, your account.
Remember: If your Lord Account is at Level 15 or below, you can only upgrade your commander to Level 15. Commanders Levels cannot be higher than your Lords Level.
Head Commander are able to wear gear. When you click on your account picture you will bring up the commander you made as your head commander. This decision can be changed in this screen.
You can see that you will be able to put on gear. This gear is for the head commander only. Various Sets of gear will have different types of buffs for building, research, and military aspects. These buffs change with each different set. Each gear piece starts off white and has 4 levels to upgrade: green, blue, purple and gold.
Commanders equipment can be made at the Blacksmith. The material needed to forge a piece can be gotten various ways:
1. Farming the various types of farms.
2. Individual Rebels from different places will drop different pieces.
3. You might get a chest that will have some in it.
4. Rebel Groups
5. You can buy a black diamond package that is specially marked for gear ingredients of the set you want to make.
All your commanders can be viewed by clicking on the commanders icon on the screen. This will bring up the panel of all the commanders. The ones that you have will be on top followed by those that are not unlocked. Simply clicking on the picture of the commander you want to view, this will allow you to inspect their progress.
Commanders progress specs have been split into three different categories as follows:
1. Commander Level
This level goes up when you win the fights the commanders are fighting. The following are the ways that you can gain experience for your commanders:
A. Weirwood Tree. You have two paths of fighting in the weirwoood tree, first the Common and the Elite story line. Along the paths of both story lines you will be defeating the various bosses which will give the experience needed to make your commanders level grow higher. This is strictly a pve fight (player vs environment). In this fight you can control your commanders hit or allow the pc to do the fight or both.
B. Rebel Leaders. Another way to give them experience is fighting the rebel leaders out in the fields. This is strictly done by the pc fight, you find a target, it requires stamina to fight which refills on its own or you can buy some in the shop. The bar that shows your level of stamina is below your Lord Picture. The stamina amount you use can very if you have the research for it done. You pick the commanders you want to battle the one boss and hit battle from this point the pc program takes over and you will get a report on the out come. You can hit multiple times without having to go back to the castle by picking the maximum button, this will bring up a screen that will tell you how many times you can hit, and you can change that amount according to the capabilities of your commander group.
C. Training Grounds. This will happen as you up your castles that you will be given the opportunity to enter the training grounds. In there you will see the King or Queen of Kings Landing. To begin with you will be attacking guards. These fights are pve, as you progress you will fight against other players (pvp). When you start seeing names these players are currently within the kingdom, the program will randomly pick people about your level you can decide which one you battle according to hit power, quality, and level. If you don't see one you can battle you can have it give you other players till you find one you think you can win. Each player puts in six commanders to go up against each other. You put the commanders in the arrangement that you think will win. From this point the pc will do the battle for both sides. Winning the fight will move you up in the training grounds ranking. The higher the rank the more blue diamonds you will make ever three hours. If you win a battle you will receive experience for your commanders. You only get five tries per day in the training grounds.
D. Buying Spirit of Weirwood Tokens, or more Stamina Tokens. This will allows you to attack more times per day but will cost you blue diamonds, alliance coins, or Black diamonds. In using them you will obtain more experience.
2. Promotions
Each commander will require various things for you to promote them to the next level. These items will be dropping as you fight the battles in the weirwood tree both the common and epic line. Each time you get all six items they will allow you to promote that commander. Once promoted you will need to get the next six. Some items require that you combine several together to make the one item. These items when clicked on will indicate what you need.
Promotions also help when assigning your head commander to your shelter with your troops. With each promotion the amount of extra troops to take to the shelter also goes up. This is a benefit to encourage you to put your head commander into the shelter when you are away from the game.
3. Improve Quality
This is taking your commander from white(common) level to gold (legendary) level. To do this you need to collect the medals of the various commanders you want to raise. The following is a list of how many medals are needed for each level:
a. 10 medals to Acquire the Commander (common)
b. 20 medals to make your Commander Green (un-common)
c. 50 medals to make your Commander Blue (rare)
d. 100 medals to make your Commander Purple (epic)
e. 150 medals to make your Commander Gold (legendary)
This applies to all the commanders. You will have to hit the commanders in the epic line of the weirwood tree to be able to collect the medals. You will not get a medal to drop every time you battle. The drop rate for every 10 hits is about 4 medals. You can only hit that one commander so many times a day depending on your castle level and research. Then you will have to wait for the reset of a new day to continue to go after the medals.
why should I raise quality before raising anything else? It looks like it does not matter if you raise level first or quality first
